Location
On the magnificent island of Kefalonia and close to the picturesque port of Fiskardo, Villa Kalograta is located in the tiny and peaceful hamlet of Kalograta, The villa is ideal for those seeking peace and seclusion but close enough to other facilities to be able to enjoy the many activities and pastimes the area offers. There are a surprising number of things to do in Fiscardo - from people watching to educational boat trips, there is something for all the family. Kalograta is also an ideal base from which to explore other parts of beautiful Kefalonia.

Maganos
The closest village is Manganos. This is either a 10 minute walk or around 3 minutes by car. Here you will find 2 well stocked general stores, a good selection of fruit and vegetables and a friendly family run taverna.


Fiscardo
The well known harbour village of Fiscardo is around 10 minutes by car. Here you will find a plethora of waterside coffee shops and restaurants as well as supermarkets, a chemist and plenty of boutique style shops. Fiscardo is a working port and from here you can take the ferry to Lefkada, rent small boats and join day cruises to the neighbouring islands.

Beaches
The nearest beach at around 5 mins by car is Foki Bay, this deep and beautiful inlet provides safe swimming, shade under olive trees and has a small taverna on the road above. The tiny but beautiful Alaties beach is around 10 minutes drive from the villa.

Walking
In recent years, some of the ancient footpaths have been cleared and signposted. There is now a network of interesting signposted walks in the area. One of these starts close to the villa and it is possible, taking arustic track below the villa, to walk through the countryside to Fiscardo. This takes around 45 minutes and is quite rough in places.
